Defense Min. Alain Richard
Mr. Alain Richard was Minister of Defense of France between 1997 and 2002. Mr. Richard has a long history of public service, having served as Mayor of Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône, Vice-President of the National Assembly, Judge in the High Court of Justice, State Councilor, Senator, and Member of the Senate delegation to the European Union. Mr. Richard is also a director at the French Institute for International Relations (IFRI) and, since 2009, chairman of the County Council for Sustainable Development of Val-d'Oise.
