Signatories

Anthony C. Zinni is a retired four-star General in the United States Marine Corps.  He is former Commander in Chief of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) where, from 1997 to 2000, he was responsible for all U.S. forces in the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia. In 2002, he was appointed to one of the highest U.S. diplomatic posts, serving as special envoy for the United States to the Middle East, including Israel and the Palestinian Authority.  General Zinni is currently an instructor at the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University.
