Hon. Ana Palacio
Ms. Ana Palacio is currently a member of the Executive Committee and Senior Vice-President of International Affairs of AREVA. She was the first woman to serve as Spain’s Foreign Minister. Between 1994 and 2002, she was an MP in the European Parliament, where she presided first over the committee for legal affairs and internal market, and later over the committee for justice and national affairs. In 2008, she was named Vice-President of the French public group AREVA, one of the three global players in nuclear energy transmission and distribution. At AREVA, she has broad responsibilities, especially in the fields of marketing and international affairs.
