On the road to our shared aspirations, we shall encounter numerous hurdles and pitfalls. Let us not be daunted by the challenges. Let us begin the task of eliminating all nuclear weapons by 2030."

Mr. Khurshid Kasuri is Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Pakistan Muslim League and was Foreign Minister of Pakistan from 2002 to 2007. Prior to his appointment as Foreign Minister, he was Chairman of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on media. Between 1988 and 2000, Mr. Kasuri served as the Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to Russia, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Belgium, and the European Union and represented Pakistan abroad as a member of Pakistan parliamentary delegations. Throughout his career, Mr. Kasuri has taken an active interest in various political movements for the restoration of democracy in Pakistan.
