Lloyd Axworthy is a Canadian politician who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1996 to 2000. As Foreign Minister, he led efforts to create the Ottawa Treaty, the international agreement to ban anti-personnel landmines. He is currently the President of the University of Winnipeg and speaks and writes widely on foreign affairs.
