Naresh Chandra is a former Indian Cabinet Secretary and Ambassador to the United States. He has served India in many different capacities since he commenced a long civil service career in 1956. He was also a Member of the Indian Space Commission and the Indian Atomic Energy Commission. Ambassador Chandra was a post-graduate mathematics student at the prestigious Allahabad University, where he also briefly taught.
