Sam is a Global Zero student leader at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, Massachusetts. If you catch Sam on campus he may be returning from a class on neutron interactions as a graduate student in the Nuclear Science and Engineering Program at MIT. Otherwise, he may be off to sing a solo in Jordan Hall of the New England Conservatory with the Boston Gay Men's Chorus. Some days, he studies in law classes at Harvard Law School for his degree in the Technology and Policy Program. Other days, he travels across the country to advocate for LGBT rights such as the end of "conversion therapy." All in all, Sam is ready to lend a helping hand to those working to make the world a better place.
"As a nuclear engineer, I won't allow the mass destruction made possible by my predecessors to define me. My kids will know a world of cooperation without the fear of nuclear weapons."
