Yoshimasa Hayashi
Mr. Yoshimasa Hayashi is a Member of the House of Councilors of Japan and a lawyer. Mr. Hayashi has broad political experience, having served during his time at Harvard University as an assistant to U.S. Congressman Steve Neal and U.S. Senator William Roth before returning to Japan. During his tenure as a Member of the House of Councilors, he served as State Secretary for Finance, Senior Vice-Minister, and, briefly, as Minister of Defense and Minister of State for Economic and Fiscal Policy. Mr. Hayashi is also Acting Chairman of the Policy Research Council within his party and chairman or standing member of numerous committees in the House of Councilors.
