Gen. (Ret.) Merrill A. McPeak

Retired Gen. Merrill A. McPeak is a former chief of staff of the United States Air Force. McPeak entered the U.S. Air Force in November 1957 and was a fighter pilot during his early years. Since retiring from the Air Force, he has directed a number of private companies. McPeak received a bachelor's degree in economics from San Diego State College and a master's degree in international relations from George Washington University. He currently serves as chairman of the American Battle Monuments Commission.
